YANNINA MARÍN

m

Physiotherapist and licensed in physical education, expert in pelvic floor, physiotherapy in oncological processes, and therapeutic exercise.

Yannina is a physiotherapist and holds a degree in Physical Activity Sciences. She completed her university studies in Chile, where she worked for more than 10 years in the sports and therapeutic exercise field. It was during her work in this area that she began attending to her first patients: pregnant female athletes or those with pelvic floor dysfunctions. This led her to further her studies to provide better care to patients who required it. She took various courses, including exercise during pregnancy and postpartum, and a diploma in women’s pelvic-perineal dysfunctions.

She realized that pelvic floor issues were very common among the women she treated and that Kegel exercises alone were not sufficient.

Motivated to learn more about the urogynecological field, she decided to continue her training in Barcelona. There, she completed a Master’s in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, integrating various knowledge and acquiring diverse therapeutic tools to contribute to the well-being of women during different stages of the life cycle.

Her areas of specialization include:

  • Education related to self-care and prevention of pelvic floor dysfunctions in different stages of the life cycle.
  • Rehabilitation of pelvic floor dysfunctions: Urinary urgency, urinary/anal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, chronic constipation.
  • Rehabilitation in sexual dysfunctions: Dyspareunia, vaginismus, anorgasmia.
  • Physiotherapy in the pregnancy and postpartum process: Pelvic floor issues, tendinitis, pubalgia, lower back pain.
  • Therapeutic exercise in the pregnancy and postpartum process.
  • Childbirth preparation.
  • Postpartum recovery: Diastasis recti, abdominal muscle reprogramming, cesarean section scars, episiotomy, perineal tears.
  • Genitourinary syndrome of menopause.
  • Physiotherapy in oncological processes.
