NEUS ROCA

m
Psycho-neuro-immunologist specialized in microbiota and women’s health, symptothermal method, digestive disorders, autoimmunity, viral reactivations, as well as all disorders associated with inflammatory states.

Originally trained as a historian, archaeologist, and anthropologist, her curiosity has always defined her academic trajectory. This attitude led her to explore different approaches to complement pharmacological treatments proposed for various health challenges that represented significant crises.

She combined professional gluten-free cooking courses with formal training in naturopathy, which she has been practicing for over fifteen years, providing advice on traditional phytotherapy and orthomolecular treatment. Aware of the importance of how we eat and finding her advice incomplete, she studied dietetics, reflexology, massage therapy, and osteopathic techniques. Implementing all these specialties for over four years in her private practice and also under the umbrella of a large and well-known herbalist company in the city of Barcelona.

She decided to specialize in a deep understanding of the physiology of different systems, their pathophysiology, and interconnection to better understand how to intervene. Clinical Psycho-Neuro-Immunology (PNIc) was the next goal, and a master’s degree allowed her to delve into that scientific aspect. For the past six years, she has specialized in the clinical practice of PNIc.

With a deep social conscience, she considered it essential to find new tools for clinical practice, improving her communication skills and understanding of the human dimension in consultation. She completed a postgraduate degree in Strategic Brief Therapy and NLP, continuing to attend some seminars in this field. This dimension led her to work in parallel for two years at the Barcelona City Council with the goal of addressing neighborhood intervention, improvements in social rights, and strategies to bring public policies closer to the needs of the population.

Continuing her education, she has attended seminars on women’s health, female hormonal health, functional interventions in the gastroduodenal system, and has participated in state and international microbiota congresses. As a member of the CAPS network, she constantly seeks to learn and question with the goal of implementing gender differential diagnosis in clinical practice. She is part of a multidisciplinary team of clinical mentorships and is currently pursuing a degree in human nutrition and dietetics at a European university with the aim of obtaining a regulated healthcare qualification at the Spanish state level and maintaining links and participating in research.
